Commissioned for the new Chesterfield Magistrates' Court, UK, opened by HM Queen Elizabeth II.
A pile of book shapes act as a foundation for the sculpture, as learning and the written law forms the foundation of the legal system. Archways and columns, seen around Chesterfield town centre, influenced the composition, as well as a medieval builders wheel found in the famous twisted spire of St. Mary's.
