To celebrate the opening of the Greenfield Arts Centre, Newton Aycliffe, this sculpture evolved from the playful, creative, act of balancing blocks on top of each other. The structure also refers to the distinctive hard-edged architecture of the nearby 1950's/60's housing, industrial units and factories of the Aycliffe Industrial Estate. Opened by PM Tony Blair.

'Endoscopy' means 'to look inside'. Curved linear components which lead the eye around and through the sculpture. The artwork also uses flowing forms and geometric shapes in an uplifting composition. Themes such as supporting, holding and resting are suggested.
